WordPress can be accessed from any computer that is connected to the internet. Once the Carleton CMS team has given the go ahead, you may open a browser, log in and begin editing.
- Follow the link provided to you by the CCMS Team.
It will be your site URL with ccms/wp-admin tacked on.
- Enter your MyCarletonOne user name and password.
This is the account you use to login to your work computer.
- Click Log In.
If you encounter difficulties logging in, please reference the troubleshooting section of this manual.
When you finish editing, it is important to log out, especially if you are working on a public computer.
Click the Log Out button located at the upper right hand corner of the WordPress screen. This will automatically log you out and return you to the log in screen.
The dashboard acts as the main information area for your site. Customize the dashboard by dragging and dropping the modules on the screen, placing them into the desired position.
The left hand side is the dashboard navigation, which allows you to add several types of content, access you media files and more.
The ‘Right Now’ module give the user an overview of the amount of pages, posts, comments and more that can be found throughout the site.
